Upcoming Show @ Street Bar Gallery "Wall Project":

When first arriving in Palm Springs, CA. I immediately went around to places I could see art. It landed me a show in September. Well, time flies and here we are. Please join me at the opening reception on Sept 8th at 6pm.

 

Pet Portraits:

I have long stayed away from pet portraits. Not because I am better than that. It is more a matter of fur and so much of it. To make hair look life like and not like a plastic sheild you need to spend much more time on it. I have found creating hair to look real is extremely time consuming. Well worth it in the final image, but it does consume time like no other. I finally just took on a project of doing someone pets portrait and before I was even done with it, thanks to facebook I had peaked the interest of a few possible new clients. I have discovered that I truly love creating them ... so here is the first one and there is a 3 Cats one coming soon. Check back.

Marilyn Monroe Series:

After living in Los Angeles, California for two years and then moving to Palm Springs, California you really get a sense that Marilyn Monroe is a big part of the dynamic of the area. Her spritis and icon live on, on a daily basis. Her image and or name is seen everywhere you go. So I decided to create my own series based on the energy that I feel from her in my travels. Also knowing that on of Andy Warhol's images of her is incredibly famous and I so love Andy Warhol. If i could have had an art mentor it would have been Andy Warhol for sure. I am creating a series of 10 pieces overall, but will create them in my own time. I will present them as i finish them.
